An in-depth look into the functionality of the Fish Measurement form.
Standard Initial Overview
Selecting Fish Species
- Initially no species will be shown in the selection list. To add fish follow these steps below:
- Select Tap Here to Modify List
- Search or scroll to find needed species
- You may add more than one species type. Select any and all species you may be entering.
- Selected species will be shown with a checkmark next to them at the top of the list (shown in the image below)
- After selecting all needed species, select Done
- Selected species will now appear in the Fish Measurement form
Entering Batch Records (Freq > 1 Button)
- To enter multiple fish records at once use the Freq > 1 button
- Make sure the correct species is selected
- Enter the Frequency (required) of fish being entered
- Select New Fish
- To go back to single entry, simply select the Freq > 1 button again to return the page to normal operations
Auto Repeat Selection
- If you know you will be entering multiple of the same fish species use the Auto Repeat Selection button to hold fields across fish measurement entries
- First select the Species, then select Auto Repeat Selection
- Red outlines in the species selection indicate that Auto Repeat is turned on
Switching Units of Measurements
- To switch units of measurement, simply select either in/lbs (default) or mm/g
- The entry forms will display the units selected.
Require Weight
- If you want to be sure that all entries have a weight associated, select Require Weight
- If you do not enter a weight, the application will prompt you to before entering a new fish
Data Grid View
- To view all entered data in a tabular view use the Grid button located in the top left corner of the Fish measurement page.
- This view will show you all the entered fish measurements so far and all associated data with each entry
